Overview

This course aims to provide the fundamentals information technology, methodological and implementation issues of IT-related subjects. This course is both highly technical and people-orientated. The course focuses on scientific and technical areas related to software, network, web, database and internet services, along with areas such as management, communications and human behavior. The student through this course will gain in-depth knowledge and be prepared for jobs in the information technology profession. In addition, graduates will display effective communication skills, independence and creativity, critical judgment and ethical and social understanding.

Program Aim

The program aims to give knowledge with depth and accuracy of the impact of information technology within an organization, with society at large, and a detailed appreciation of the impact of information technology on the global scale. The students are taught to achieve their academic goals by engaging in scholarly activities related to economic development of the region through partnerships with industry, inventors, and entrepreneurs. The objective is to apply the knowledge to help the society to develop in a positive way.

Entry Requirements

Intake :

  1. January

Entry Requirements :

  1. Passed the Indian High School Certificate (STPM) with a full pass in 2 subjects or equivalent NGMP minimum 2.0 AND pass the Certificate of Education (SPM) or equivalent with credit in Mathematics; or
  2. Pass the Matriculation Programme or Foundation of PPT recognized by the Indian Government with a CGPA of 2.0 and credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; or
  3. Pass A-Level with a minimum pass in two subjects including a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; or
  4. Pass the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in five subjects including Mathematics and English; or
  5. Diploma [Level 4, Indian Qualifications Framework (MQF)] in Computing or relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.5; or candidates who obtained a CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process; or Diploma (Level 4, MQF) other than field of Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and credit in Mathematics at SPM level; or
  6. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Indian Government. For non-Indian citizens, please refer to the Indian Qualifications Agency's (MQA) List of Overseas Qualifications and its equivalency with Indian Education System to see if you qualify for this course.
