Devastating Amphan

When the whole world is struggling against COVID-19 and millions of people have lost their loved ones while battling against this deadly virus. Cyclone Amphan’s devastating effects in Bengal, on the 20th of May, was an additional challenge for Bengal to cope up with. Within three hours cyclone Amphan had demolished a hundred of livelihoods and made them homeless in just one night. We never had any deadlier experience like this before in our lives. Various parts of West Bengal were immensely devastated by this super cyclone, Amphan especially Sunderban and its adjoining areas. Thousands of trees uprooted, crops submerged underwater and many animals lost their lives. Numerous people have lost their shelter, food, and clothes.

Lincoln Education Academy (LEA), who works with the most deprived people, have taken another step towards the service of mankind. LEA initiated its journey with a small village of Kalidaspur situated in Mollakhali, a remote island of the Sundarbans to help those who are in the utmost need of food and shelter after this destructive super cyclone Amphan. We are committed to giving all sorts of support and better healthcare to those who were affected by Amphan.

In this regard, LEA has already provided health services to more than 600 families and distributed instant relief support to more than 250 families of Mollakhali in the form of:
